7 tools to enhance your designs and improve your workflow 🙌

We love using tools to help us work quicker and better, to produce the best possible outcome for us and our clients. Here are 7 tools for you to try in your business, to improve your workflow.

Have you used any of these tools before?

1. Color Magic

ColorMagic is an AI colour palette generator. So if you’re looking to give your brand a refresh, this tool will generate a colour palette from any keyword for an instant freshen up of your brand colour identity. Or, check out the latest trends based on colours, tones, styles or seasons. With colour palette generators like this, we recommend using them for inspiration to create a bespoke palette that suits your business values and target audience - a combination of AI and your brilliant human mind.

2. Canva Bulk Edit

Canva is always adding new tools to make life easier and bulk edit is just that. Save time when you’re making designs that only need little text tweaks like names, photos, dates and numbers. This is perfect for designs like editing names and positions on business cards for the whole team, invites and certificates. You could also use it to batch create social media content such as testimonials. Save time by designing in bulk. Top tip: make sure you check each output and tweak as needed (it won’t get it all correct and lined up every time, especially with lots of text, but it will save you a lot of time by getting the ‘bulk’ of the work done!)

3. Magic To Do

Magic To Do is an AI generated to-do-list to keep you on track with your daily tasks. Breaking down a each task into bite-sized chunks, which is invaluable in bigger jobs with lots of steps! (It’s also especially helpful for neurodiverse brains!) Founder of Bloom Creative, Amy, has an Neurodiversity & AI Masterclass available for instant access if you’re looking for more tools like this (use code: BLOOM25 for 25% off, making it just £9)

4. Coolors Image Picker

Coolors Image Picker grabs colour palettes directly from images which is a quick and easy way of finding some colour inspiration, visualising your colour palette across different assets, and even can be used to make sure the colours you’ve chosen are accessible when paired together.

5. WebAIM’s Contrast Checker

Checking contrast is so important in design to make sure the things you’re creating are readable, accessible and inclusive. Using a tool like WebAIM’s Contrast Checker is quick and easy, and makes such a difference to your design and the people who are looking at it. A tool like this helps you to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

6. Adobe Firefly’s Generative Fill

Adobe Firefly’s Generative Fill is such a time-saver, using AI to fill in, remove, or extend parts of an image. It makes editing your images way easier and faster, so you can focus on your ideas instead of getting stuck in the details. Gone are the days spent scrolling through endless stock images until you find one that is ‘just right’. Instead, you can use one that’s almost perfect and prompt AI to help you make the changes you need. Remember to check where you need to be transparent about the use of AI - some platforms require you to be upfront when you’re sharing something created or edited with AI tools.

7. ChatGPT

We could tell you why ChatGPT is helpful, but instead, it can tell you itself. This is what it had to say when we gave it the prompt- Please could you give us a brief paragraph about YOUR uses as a time-saving tool? (Sorry to make you toot your own horn.)

”ChatGPT is like having a super-smart buddy at your fingertips, ready to help you save time on just about anything! Whether you need quick answers, creative ideas, or even help with writing, I can whip up suggestions in a snap, so you don't have to spend ages searching or brainstorming. It’s all about making your life easier and freeing you up to focus on what really matters, whether that's tackling bigger projects or just enjoying some downtime!”

One of our favourite ways to use ChatGPT is to help us to externally process and critically analyse ideas - which is especially great if you work from home and don’t have a colleague to hand for a quick brainstorming / ideas session!

Which tool will you try first?
